Gregg Arthur sings what affectionately is known as “American Cool” and artists dressed to perform.

Raised on a property near Inverell in New South Wales, Gregg grew up listening the greats like Frank Sinatra, Sarah Vaughan, Ella Fitzgerald, Miles Davies and Nat King Cole. They left a lasting imprint on his musical influences.

This year he went into the studio to make an album of his own. The result is ‘Love Story’ featuring songs from Charles Asnavour, Andy Williams and Chris De Burgh but also Van Halen and Fine Young Cannibals.

The album was recorded with Tommy Tycho and his 50-piece orchestra.

Gregg dropped into Noise11.com to talk about his ‘Love Story’ album with Paul Cashmere.
