New Zealand sensation Avalanche City visit to play their soothing, tender folk jams.

Singer and guitarist Dave Baxter dreamt up the project and recorded Avalanche City’s debut album Our New Life Above the Ground in an old hall all by himself. The response when it was released online was immense, essentially forcing him to officially release the album, which hit number four on the NZ charts and the sweet jangle of ‘Love Love Love’ topping the singles chart.

With a new band in tow, Baxter visited the Noise11 studios and performed his big hit, and two other tracks with accompaniment from the unique “manjo”, a combination of banjo and mandolin.
