Kate Bush has received the Commander of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (CBE) for her services to music. “I feel deeply honoured to be in this list. I’m really delighted. Thanks to everyone,” she said in a statement.

Ewan McGregor was awarded the Officer of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (OBE) for his services to drama and charity. McGregor played the young Obi-Wan Kenobi in the last three Star Wars movies so Obi now has an OBE.

Stella McCartney, the daughter of Sir Paul McCartney, also received the OBE for her work in fashion design. Her father’s first royal honour was in 1965 when the four Beatles received the MBE (Member of the Most Excellent order of the British Empire). John Lennon returned his medal in 1969 as a protest of the Vietnam War.

Other awarded went to actor Adrian Lester, comedy writer Jeremy Lloyd and violinist Nicola Benedetti.
