On Thursday Warner Music artists will combine for ‘In Their Shoes’, a charity auction to raise funds for Cancer Awareness Month.

Artists have designed 70 unique pairs of sneakers that will be auctioned for the cause.

The idea came about when Grouplove were in Australia. Hannah Hooper was wearing a pair of sneakers that caught the crew’s eye. It turned out they were a one-off pair she had designed.

Warner Music then set about to create the In Their Shoes initiative. Over an 18-month period both Australian and international artists were asked to create a design on a pair of plain white Converse sneakers adding their own colour, design and personal touch,

Contributing artists included Bruno Mars, The Black Keys, Ed Sheeran, James Blunt, New Order, Kimbra, Macklemore and Ryan Lewis, Red Hot Chili Peppers and Skrillex as well as Grouplove.

The shoes can be viewed at www.intheirshoes.com.au

A public viewing of the shoes will also be on display in Syndey from midday October 27 at The Standard.

The auction will go live on eBay on Thursday, October 24 with bidding starting at $99 per pair of shoes.
