Gypsy & the Cat Release Song With Paul Kelly LISTEN

Gypsy and the Cat have a new song and the featured artist is none other than noted Melbourne singer songwriter Paul Kelly.

‘Climb Into The Music’ is the first Gypsy & the Cat new music in two years.

Kelly was a fan of the band. “Gypsy and the Cat had written and produced all their own music to date but wanted to collaborate in the lead up to this recording and invited their musical icon into to the writing studio,” they wrote. “Paul was a fan of the bands past material and accepted the invitation to write which then lead to his ubiquitous vocals staying on the final version of the song as the perfect counterpoint to those of Gypsy’s Xavier Bacash.”

Gypsy & The Cat are Melbourne DJs Xavier Bacash and Lionel Towers. They released two album ‘Gilgamesh’ (no 14, 2010) and ‘The Late Blue’ (no 24, 2012). In 2011 Gypsy and the Cat performed where Kylie Minogue’s support for the Australian leg of the Aphrodite Tour.
