Jon Bon Jovi has released the audio from his recording of the song Beautiful Day from the new Broadway production of Finding Neverland.
The new show, based on the 2004 film with Johnny Depp, is taking a bit different approach to getting the new music heard by the public. Instead of releasing an Original Cast Album, they have decided to put out a collections of songs from the show performed by a variety of guest artists.
The story behind the song Beautiful Day is not clear. It is not shown on any official lists of music in the final production of the show so it may have been “inspired by” the production or could have been a song written for the show but later removed.
Other artists on the recording include veterans the Goo Goo Dolls and writer Barlow along with Ellie Goulding, Paloma Faith, Rita Ora, Jennifer Lopez, Pentatonix, John Legend and Christina Aguilera.
The music and lyrics for Finding Neverland were written by Take That’s Gary Barlow and songwriter/producer Eliot Kennedy.
