Lulu To Play First Headline Show In London In A Decade

Singer Lulu will play her first headline show in London in almost ten years on October 4 when she appears at Under the Bridge.

The singer said “I can’t wait to get on stage with my band at Under The Bridge. It’s just me and my favorite musicians playing songs that I grew up with and that mean the most to me – a real back to my roots and back to the music – all in a great venue.”

Lulu recently played a date at B.B. King’s in New York, singing numerous soul classics along with her own hits Oh Me, Oh My and To Sir With Love. While Americans mainly know her for that latter hit, the fact is that she was a major member of the first wave of British female blue-eyed soul singers which also included Dusty Springfield and Truly Smith. Of today’s group of British female soul artists, her style would best be compared to Duffy.

Tickets go on sale today (June 25).

Her February B.B. King’s set list:

  • Unchain My Heart
  • Cry To Me
  • Try a Little Tenderness
  • Oh Me Oh My
  • Bell Bottom Blues
  • I’m Tore Down
  • Mocking Bird
  • I Don’t Wanna Fight
  • In My Life
  • You Can’t Do That
  • You Send Me
  • 25 Miles
  • To Sir with Love
  • I Can’t Turn You Loose
  • Shout
