Aussie songwriting legend Russell Morris has signed a publishing deal with Alberts.

Alberts’ Head of Repertoire Phil Mortlock announced the signing with all of Russell’s original compositions included in the new publishing agreement. Some of the Russell Morris classics include ‘Wings Of An Eagle’, ‘Sweet Sweet Love’ and ‘Mr America’. However he didn’t write his biggest hit ‘The Real Thing’. That was written by Johnny Young.

“Delighted to be with an iconic publishing company that is Australian formed and based, with some equally iconic musical acts that are part of the roster,” Russell said in a statement.

Russell Morris has just released ‘Red Dirt Red Heart’, the third album in his blues trilogy. The album is the third chapter of tales from Australian history following on from ‘Sharkmouth’ (2012) and ‘Van Diemen’s Land’ (2013).

ORDER Russell Morris Red Dirt Red Heart now from Songland Records.
