Pavarotti Cancels UK Dates

by Paul Cashmere on June 28, 2006

in News

Opera superstar Luciano Pavarotti has cancelled dates in the U.K. after being plagued by back problems.

The star had back surgery earlier this year and has developed an infection as a result of the surgery. His health has been the subject of much discussion recently. Those people with the rare opportunity to see him walking have witness an ailing elderly man being assisted with every step.

Pavarotti has cancelled dates throughout his South American tour as well, returning to New York regularly for physiotherapy.

The seventy year old is currently in the midst of his farewell tour which is seeing him return to his favourite cities around the world, as well as some places he has never been to.

If you had tickets to see him in Glasgow, Derbyshire, Southampton and Warwick in July (2006), then I’m afraid you’ll have to wait for the shows to be rescheduled.

New dates are yet to be confirmed.
