Charmayne ‘Maxee’ Maxwell, one time singer for Grammy nominated Maxwell, has died in Los Angeles from a fall at age 46.

Maxwell’s husband discovered his wife bleeding and unconscious. Police suspect she fell and cut her next, possibly on a wine glass. They do not suspect foul play.

Brownstone were a 90s R&B girl group signed the Michael Jackson’s MJJ label. Their first hit ‘If You Love Me’ reached no. 13 on Australia’s ARIA chart in March 1995.

Brownstone also had a minor hit that same year with a cover of Timothy B. Schmit’s Eagles classic ‘I Can’t Tell You Why’.

Brownstone’s debut album for Jackson’s label was certified Platinum in America on 840,000 sales even though it only reached no 29 on the US chart. The industry was a lot healthier in the 90s. The album reached no 17 in Australia.

Brownstone spilt after their second album ‘Still Climbing’ in 1997.
