The fabulous Sharon Jones told a crowd at the Toronto International Film Festival that her cancer has returned.

Jones was in Toronto for the premier of the documentary Miss Sharon Jones!, a combination of music performances and the story of her first fight against the disease in 2013. She was originally diagnosed with bile duct cancer but it was later changed to stage two pancreatic cancer.

Sharon spoke at the movie’s premier on Friday according to Indiewire, telling the crowd that she once again was suffering from the disease. “I start chemo on Wednesday but I’m gonna keep fighting. We got a long way to go.”

Jones’ oncologist, Dr. James Leonardo, was also on stage and told the crowd “People ask me how I can do what I do. This is how.”

She told a crowd at the second showing of the film on Sunday that “I’m going to do what I have to do. I’m going to sing.”

Although she sang gospel music throughout her life, she spent many years as a corrections officer at Riker’s Island before getting her first break in 1996 backing up Lee Fields. Sharon Jones’ and the Dap Kings’ first album was released in 2002 and they will release their seventh set, It’s a Holiday Soul Party, on October 30.
