Sinead O’Connor will not be touring this summer due to an undisclosed health problem.

The singer was scheduled to play at the Galway (Ireland) Arts Festival Big Top along with a series of European dates but all are off due to “exhaustion” from a medical situation.

O’Connor’s agent stated “Sinéad O’Connor apologises profusely to her fans but she cannot travel this summer anymore. She is suffering from exhaustion due to an existing not resolved medical situation and she has been advised by the doctor to stop any activity and rest.Because of this she is completely unable to travel and to perform.”

Sinead has admitted to mental health problems in the past although there is no indication that the cancellations are due to anything associated with that illness. Last Friday, she became a grandmother for the first time.
