The “It deeply offended a lot of women’s groups and non-Bachmann supporters, and for that I’m deeply sorry,” the hirsute drummer told Pitchforkmedia.com. “I’m not parading like I’m the poster boy for the feminist movement, but those who truly know me know that that’s not me. I was really just going with her whole revisionist history angle, I wasn’t calling it out on her being a woman.”

He also said that it was “absolutely not” worth it in the end and he feared getting the sack over the incident.

Didn’t see it? Well watch it here:

?uestlove is the band leader of the coolest house band in the world, The Roots, who play the music on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. On top of that, they are just about to release their 11th studio album, Undun. They have worked as the backing band for organ legend Booker T. and ?uestlove himself has appeared as a session drummer and/or producer on countless albums.

Michelle Bachmann, for those of you who like me aren’t in the US of A is a presidential hopeful and is currently running for the top job at the Republican party. Here’s a clip of her banging on about how gay people shouldn’t be treated equally:
