Zayn Malik Calls Of Engagement

Zayn Malik has ended his engagement to Perrie Edwards, according to reports.

The former One Direction star proposed to the Little Mix singer in late 2013. But on Tuesday it was claimed that the 22-year-old had called time on their relationship.

‘Perrie is absolutely devastated. Zayn called off the engagement two weeks ago, she’s so upset,’ a source told British newspaper the Mail Online. ‘Perrie is being a trooper about it and putting on a brave face but she’s devastated. She’s doesn’t know what he’s thinking.’

The couple began dating in early 2012 and Perrie first debuted her engagement ring at the premiere of One Direction’s movie This Is Us in August 2013.

However the couple kept putting their wedding plans on hold because of their respective music careers and now it seems that Zayn, who left One Direction in March, has decided the nuptials aren’t going to happen at all.

His former fiancée has little time to adjust to the news as she is currently in the middle of promoting Little Mix’s latest single Black Magic and recently flew to Los Angeles with her band mates.

‘She’s going to go out and promote the new single but obviously the timing could not be worse, especially when she’s going to be doing so many interviews,’ the source continued.

The singer is trying to put a brave face on her heartache, smiling in a series of bikini pictures taken by bandmate Jesy Nelson earlier this week.

While she poses with bandmate Leigh-Anne Pinnock in one shot, another shows her lying on a sun lounger with her engagement ring significantly missing.

A representative for both Zayn and Perrie is yet to confirm the news.
