Dirty Dancing To Return To Sydney And Melbourne

Theatre producer John Frost is bringing ‘Dirty Dancing’ back to Sydney and Melbourne.

Frost will revive the stage musical for Australian audiences 10 years after its world premiere in Sydney in November 2004.

Then the production toured for 18 months in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth and Auckland. A new production then opened in Hamburg, Germany in March 2006 where it achieved the largest advance in European theatre history.

‘Dirty Dancing’ then went on to play London’s West End where it ran for six months.

‘Dirty Dancing’ the musical is based on the hit 80s movie of the same name starring Patrick Swayze. It is set in 1963 and tells the story of Frances ‘Baby’ Houseman who learns a life lesson while learning about dancing.
