Former Australia’s Got Talent winner Mark Vincent has scored the role of Billy in the upcoming Australian production of ‘Dirty Dancing’.

Vincent won Australia’s Got Talent in 2009 when he was 16-years old and has since sold over 500,000 albums after signing with Sony Music Australia.

Producer John Frost announced Mark’s role saying “Mark has an extraordinary voice and I can’t wait for audiences to hear him sing those classic Dirty Dancing songs In the Still of the Night and (I’ve Had) The Time of My Life’. He has already achieved so much in such a short time. The whole creative team was so impressed with Mark’s audition, and we look forward to seeing him develop into a leading man on the musical theatre stage.”

Dirty Dancing will start in Sydney in November and then head to Melbourne then Brisbane.

From November 28, 2014, Sydney, Sydney Lyric Theatre
From March 2015, Melbourne, Princess Theatre
From May 2015, Brisbane, Lyric Theatre QPAC
