Korpiklanni, described as a “folk metal band”, will tour Australia in October.
Korpiklanni are like a metal Mumford & Sons. They started out in 1993 as Shammani Duo before becoming Shaman in 1996 and then settling on Korpiklanni in 2003. Korpiklanni means Forest Clan in Finnish.
Since 2003 Korpilkanni have released eight studio albums, the most recent being ‘Manala’ in 2012.
Korpilkanni will tour Australia for Metropolis Touring.
