Meg Mac, one of the acts to watch at SXSW 2015, has signed a recording deal with Lyor Cohen’s 300 Entertainment prior to showcasing at the Texas music conference.

Sydney based singer songwriter Meg Mac will release her debut EP ‘MEGMAC’ in the USA on April 7, 2015.

Lyor Cohen was the North American Chairman and CEO for the Warner Music Group after joining the major music company in 2004. Prior to that Cohen ran Def Jam and expanded the label outside of rap to include acts like Mariah Carey Bon Jovi and Slipknot.

“From the first time we at 300 heard ‘Roll Up Your Sleeves,’ we fell in love with Meg Mac,” says Lyor Cohen. “She is a true artist of immense talent. It’s a privilege and an honor for us to have the opportunity to work with her.” For Meg, the feeling is mutual. “After meeting Lyor Cohen and everyone at 300 in New York, I can’t wait to start working with them all,” she said. “I am excited to get my music out internationally and to start playing shows overseas”.

Meg Mac will showcase at SXSW in Austin, Texas in March.
