Melbourne Music Week is heading into its 5th year with a national and international line-up featuring 250 acts including Cut Copy and Tangerine Dream.

Melbourne Music Week’s 110 event will be housed across 40 locations.

“MMW continues to work with the local industry to put on a music event like no other,” Lord Mayor Robert Doyle said.

“QVM is a Melbourne icon loved by locals and tourists alike for its diversity, atmosphere, culture and history. MMW at QVM will add an exciting element to the market, bringing more people and vitality to the market precinct.

“Last year, the MMW Hub attracted 25,000 people and we are expecting even more at the QVM hub this year. MMW will attract new visitors to the market during the day and night. The event generates $2.2 million for the local economy so this is good news for businesses.”

Some of the acts performing for Melbourne Music Week include Architecture In Helsinki, The Church, A Winged Victory for the Sullen, Dusky, Ten Walls, Allday, Total Giovanni, Black Cab and Andras & Oscar.

The full Melbourne Music Week program will be unveiled on October 8.

Early bird tickets are available now from Dash Tickets via www.melbourne.vic.gov.au/mmw
