Bobbi Kristina Brown Autopsy Report To Be Made Public

A Georgia judge has ordered Bobbi Kristina Brown’s autopsy to be unsealed.

The only child of Bobby Brown and the late Whitney Houston died in a hospice on 26 July (15) after she was found face down and unresponsive in a bathtub at her Georgia home in January, 2015.

An autopsy immediately after Bobbi Kristina’s death was inconclusive, but the final report was sealed in September (15) at the request of authorities investigating the case.

However, on Thursday (03Mar16), Fulton County Superior Court Judge Henry M. Newkirk ruled the protective order keeping the report confidential should now be lifted, as per the request of lawyers for local station 11Alive News.

According to the New York Daily News, the plaintiffs argued the public had a right to know how Brown had died, but police officials insisted unsealing the autopsy report could jeopardise their criminal investigation involving the 22-year-old’s boyfriend, Nick Gordon.

The judge ruled in the news station’s favour, citing the amount of time which as already passed. State officials are expected to appeal the decision, but the autopsy could become public within days.

No criminal charges have been filed, but Gordon is facing a $10 million (£7.1 million) wrongful death lawsuit from Brown’s court-appointed co-conservator, Bedelia Hargrove.

He denies any wrongdoing and at the time of the filing, his former legal team called the lawsuit “slanderous and meritless,” and a “fictitious assault against the person who loved Krissy most”.

Eyewitnesses have previously stated Brown and Gordon’s romance was a turbulent one, fuelled by drugs.

Brown’s family barred her boyfriend from visiting the tragic youngster during the final months of her life.

The autopsy news emerges a week after it was reported her father Bobby had checked into a rehabilitation facility to allegedly seek help for an addiction issue.

A lawyer for the My Prerogative singer, who has a history with drink and drugs, has denied his client is in treatment for alcohol and cocaine use, and simply stated Brown would honour a performance in Charleston, South Carolina on Friday (04Mar16).
