Ringo Starr turns 73 on Sunday.  And he wants everybody to make a double victory sign, and, “Wherever you are, please go ‘peace and love, peace and love, peace and love'”. At noon.

Got it?

Starr And his oft-changing All-Starr Band, this time featuring the supreme delights of Todd Rundgren, Steve Lukather (Toto), Richard Page (Mr Mister) and Gregg Rolie (Journey, Santana) toured Australia in February. The setlist was a veritable feast of favourites by each band member and contained Starr solo hits and beloved Beatles songs.

Starr is taking the summer off to spend time in England with his friends and family. He asks his fans to share his video (see below) and join him for a moment of ‘Peace and love’ at noon your time.

“Good morning, good afternoon, good evening. Yes it’s Ringo. Peace and love, peace and love. You know it’s that time again. Next Sunday the 7th day of the 7th month – my birthday, and i ask you one more time, at noon wherever you are,  if you could please go ‘peace and love, peace and love, peace and love’, wherever you are at noon, that’d be great. Thank you and good night”.
