We talk with rising alt-country stars The Hello Morning about their “over the top” and critically-acclaimed debut album.

It isn’t hard to understand why critics have been hailing the Melbourne collective’s debut album – it’s a beautifully-realised fusion of sunny Americana, alt-country, roots, folk and pop.

We speak to frontman Steven Clifford about assembling the six-piece band, the ambling recording process, enlisting scores of guests the flesh out the album (including Kimbra and Bertie Blackman), their Earth Hour unplugged set, trying not to show your influences, and more.
