Australian Rock Royalty To Honour The EasyBeats With EasyFever Tour

Empire Touring have gathered Australia’s finest rock stars to honour the music of Stevie Wright and The Easybeats for the EasyFever tour.

Chris Cheney from The Living End, Phil Jamieson of Grinspoon, Tim Rogers of You Am I, Kram of Spiderbait and Tex Perkins of Beasts of Bourbon, Tex Don & Charlie and The Cruel Sea, will form a supergroup capable of honouring Australia’s first international rock band.

‘’The Australian rock’n’roll landscape would look very different without the contribution of the Easybeats,” says Chris Cheney. “The energy and electricity of those old black and white TV performances have always been a source of Inspiration to me. I get goosebumps thinking about it”.

The shows will also feature the super Easyfever band: Jak Housden (The Whitlams), Ashley Naylor (Even), Dario Bortolin (Baby Animals), Dave Hibbard (Joe Bonamassa) and Clayton Doley (Divinyls).

The Easybeats were the DNA of the Australian rock bands that would follow. “They are one of the most influential Aussie bands ever and rightly bloody so,” says Chris. “The combined musical brilliance of that band and the songwriting skills means their tunes are absolutely timeless.’’

Paul McCartney Plays Santiago, Karen Freedman Reviews of Noise11.com

Eighty two. Paul McCartney is 82. (Well, I guess it makes a change to referring to the good Sir as an ex-Beatle). Now, where was I? Oh yes, in Santiago, Chile, at the Estadio Monumental, watching this magnificent human perform to and thrill thousands of people. It is always heartwarming to see multi generations singing along to all the songs at a Paul McCartney show. More impressively here, because most people speak only Spanish.

‘Tina – The Tina Turner Musical’ Is Both Confronting And Stunning #REVIEW

Before seeing ‘Tina – The Tina Turner Musical’ I wondered how the producers would be able to tell the confronting and often violent story of Tina Turner while maintaining the entertainment factor to hold an audience over two plus hours. Let me say, ‘Tina – The Tina Turner Musical’ succeeds on both a historical level and an entertainment level. This is brilliant theatre.
