Usually I just post the massive list of Aussie acts whom are charting overseas, but with more and more local acts picking up international chart entries, I thought I’d do an occasional recap of which local artists are charting and where this week.

Keith Urban enters the US Singles chart with his new song “Somewhere in My Car” (No.91) whilst his “Fuse” (HP-1) album falls out of the US Top 200 Albums this week. Vance Joy are due to land here at No.1 with their debut album this week, and overseas they are still charting with “Riptide” in England, Ireland, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Sweden, Portugal, Bulgaria and also in America and Canada.

5 Seconds of Summer are mostly charting on the Irish Singles chart at the moment, with only their charts placing “She Looks So Perfect” and “Don’t Stop” this week, whilst their latest song “Amnesia” rises in Ireland, England, the USA, Canada and New Zealand plus The Philippines. Their self-titled album is charting in seventeen other countries at the moment, with Canada, the USA and Italy all keeping it in their Top 10s this week.

Iggy Azalea is dropping slowly with her first two chart entries “Fancy” and “Problem”; the latter is currently rising in the Asian chart this week. New single “Black Widow” with Rita Ora though jumps into the UK Top 5 and Irish Top 10, plus it is sitting within the Top 10 in USA and Canada, and it lands first week entries in Belgium, Sweden, Austria and Germany, with it spending a second week in the Swiss and Bulgarian charts this week. Iggy is also sitting in the US Top 40 on the T.I. track “No Mediocre” which is also charting in France, and her album “The New Classic” climbs back up in Canada, Sweden, Ireland and Finland.

Sia and her “Chandelier” are currently Top 5 in France, Ireland (re-peak), Portugal, Switzerland, Sweden and Bulgaria, whilst also entrenched within the Top 10s in the USA, Finland, Denmark, Malaysia and Indonesia, plus it debuts on the Vietnam chart this week and overall appears on 21 international charts this week, plus she picks up nine further appearances thanks to the new Eminem track “Guts Over Fear”, which debuts in the Top 10 in Canada and France this week, plus is Top 30 in New Zealand, Denmark and a No.22 debut in the USA. Her album “1000 Forms of Fear” jumps up in Switzerland, Spain and Finland this week, whilst overall it is on eleven charts.

AC/DC are still charting in the USA with their 1980 classic album “Back in Black” and also in the US, local church Hillsong are charting with “Zion” in the Top 100 and their latest set “No Other Name” within the Top 150. But beating them with three albums within the US Top 200 this week are Newsboys who have “God’s Not Dead”, “Restart” and the new entry “Live in Concert: God’s Not Dead” which comes in at No.124.

Justice Crew with “Que Sera” and Sheppard with “Geronimo” are both charting in New Zealand at the moment, with Sheppard also charting in Ireland with their song, and also dominating the NZ Album charts at the moment are INXS with their collection “Very Best of”, whilst “Kick” is also charting there due to the recent screening of the biopic “Never Tear us Apart”.

Canadian act Adventure Club are currently within their own Top 40 with the song “Wonder”, which features local EDM act The Kite String Tangle, whilst new Perth artist Troye Sivan has dropped dramatically over the past couple of weeks with his “Happy Little Pill”, which is now only charting in Ireland, whilst his “Tryxe” (EP) is charting NZ and the USA. A further collaboration is by Wankelmut featuring local singer Emma Louse (who is on the new Flight Facilities single), which jumps in Ireland and is within the UK Top 15 with the song “My Head is a Jungle”. And lastly the self-titled third album for Angus & Julia Stone is sitting in the Top 40 in New Zealand, The Netherlands and Switzerland, whilst its also in the French and Belgian Top 30 and also charting in Germany and Austria at the moment.
