AWME Announces Local And International Showcase Artists

The Australian World Music Expo (AWME) has announced its first round of showcasing artists with Australia, Fiji, New Zealand, Cambodia, Ethiopia, Vanuatu and Reunion Island representing the first nations announced.

Melbourne Ska Orchestra, Hollie Smith, Sola Rosa, Stephen Pigram, Damien Dempsey, The Cambodian Space Project and Dereb The Ambassador join other first round acts Coloured Stone, Knox, The Orbweavers, The Putbacks with Emma Donovan, Grizzly Jim Lawrie, Impossible Odds, Whiri Tu Aka, Stan & The Earth Force, Slip On Stereo, Maya Kamaty and Tjupurru.

“This is an incredibly strong and diverse AWME line-up which solidifies our reputation as one of the leading music events on the annual calendar,” said Simon Raynor, Director of AWME.

AWME 2013 showcases will take place from 14th – 17th November at Arts Centre Melbourne, The HiFi, The Toff, Ding Dong and Lounge. Tickets for all concerts will be on sale soon.
