Billy Joel And Jimmy Fallon Sing Together Using Aussie App

Billy Joel and Jimmy Fallon have recorded a doo-wop song together using Australian technology.

Joel appeared in The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon and recorded the classic ‘The Lion Sleeps Tonight’ using an Australia produced iPad app Loopy HD.

The app retails for under $10 at the iTunes store. Following the broadcast on NBC it became the number one selling app in America.

The Loopy HD app was made by Melbourne developer Michael Tyson and launched in September 2011. It allows users to layer looped vocals or instruments and then playback the layered recording as a single piece.

As well as Loopy, Tyson is the developer behind Audiobus, an app that connects your various music apps together .
