Cam Butler of Ron Peno & The Superstitions has recently released a grandiose orchestral album Save My Soul and fans of the record will get a chance to experience the record in a multimedia performance at Melbourne ACMI Cinema.

The screening will feature five videos made from directors from around the globe – namely Melbourne, Australia; Berlin, Germany; and Kabul, Afghanistan. The soundtrack to the film will feature Butler playing solo electric guitar live in the cinema.

“I am very excited to be able to perform and screen the Save My Soul videos at ACMI because the sound is superb,” Butler said in a statement. “The seating is excellent for the audience and of course ACMI is custom built for presenting films beautifully.”

Butler’s album Save My Soul is available now. It features a small orchestra (including a 23 piece string section) along with his unique guitar sound. The lush record is well worth getting if you haven’t already.

Otherwise, for the bargain price of $15, you can go along to this ACMI performance on Thursday, August 30.
