Cameron Winter will release his first live album, Live At Carnegie Hall, on October 9, 2026, documenting a December 2025 performance that marked a significant milestone in the Geese frontman’s solo career. Recorded during his first solo tour, the album captures Winter alone at the piano in Carnegie Hall’s main auditorium, performing material from his debut solo album Heavy Metal alongside three previously unreleased compositions.

The performance took place in front of a sold-out audience, with Winter performing without a backing band. The resulting album presents a markedly different setting from his work with Geese, the Brooklyn rock group he formed with school friends in 2016 and has fronted throughout its development into an established alternative act.

Live At Carnegie Hall will be released digitally and on CD and vinyl through Partisan Records and Play It Again Sam. The album is currently available for pre-order.

The Carnegie Hall performance came relatively early in Winter’s solo career. He released the Singles collection in October 2024, pairing “Vines” and “Take It With You”, before issuing Heavy Metal on December 6, 2024. Live At Carnegie Hall now provides a document of how that material translated from studio recordings to an intimate solo performance.

The album’s 11-song sequence includes songs from Heavy Metal such as “It All Fell In The River”, “Try As I May”, “Emperor XIII In Shades”, “The Rolling Stones”, “Love Takes Miles”, “Cancer Of The Skull”, “If You Turn Back Now”, “Nina + Field Of Cops”, “$0” and “Take It With You”. “Vines”, which predates the album and was part of Winter’s initial solo release, completes the tracklist.

The Carnegie Hall set also featured three songs that had not previously been released, giving the recording significance beyond being a live version of an existing studio album. The performance therefore documents both a specific point in Winter’s development and a body of material extending beyond Heavy Metal.

Winter’s solo work developed alongside his career with Geese rather than replacing it. Geese was formed in Brooklyn in 2016 while the members were still at school, with Winter as vocalist and a principal songwriter. The group initially recorded in drummer Max Bassin’s basement before signing with Partisan Records in 2020.

Geese subsequently released Projector in 2021, 3D Country in 2023 and Getting Killed in 2025. The band’s catalogue has moved through indie rock, art rock, post-punk and experimental rock, establishing a substantially different musical framework from Winter’s piano-led solo recordings. Geese’s documented live releases include Alive & In Person from 2024 and Geese: Live At Third Man Records, issued in 2026.
Winter’s transition into solo recording has nevertheless become an important parallel strand of his work. Heavy Metal established a more exposed songwriting format, with Winter’s voice and piano carrying much of the musical weight. The Carnegie Hall recording extends that approach into a live setting, without the larger instrumental architecture associated with Geese.

The choice of Carnegie Hall also places the recording within one of New York’s most recognised concert venues. Winter was among the youngest solo artists to headline and perform in the main auditorium, according to the supplied release material. The significance of the performance is therefore tied not only to the repertoire but also to the unusual scale and setting of a solo concert so early in his career.

For Winter, Live At Carnegie Hall creates a permanent recording of a particular stage in that progression. Heavy Metal established his solo identity in 2024, while Geese continued developing as a band through Getting Killed in 2025. The live album brings those two strands of his career into focus through a performance built around his songwriting, voice and piano.

Live At Carnegie Hall will be released on October 9, 2026, through Partisan Records and Play It Again Sam. The album will be available on digital platforms, CD and vinyl, with the complete performance preserved as Winter’s first officially announced live album.
