Drake, Feist And More Shortlisted For Polaris Prize

Canada’s album of the year Polaris Music Prize shortlists Drake, Grimes, Feist, Japandroids and more.

The annual Best Album Polaris Music Prize has announced their ten album shortlist. They are: Japandroids Celebration Rock, Drake Take Care, Fucked Up David Comes To Life, Grimes Visions, Yamantaka / Sonic Titan YT//ST, Feist Metals, Handsome Furs Sound Kapital, Kathleen Edwards Voyageur, Cadence Weapon Hope In Dirt City, and Cold Specks I Predict A Graceful Expulsion.

The winner will be announced in a gala on September 24. Last year’s winner was Arcade Fire’s The Suburbs. The only nominee this year who have previously won is Fucked Up, who took the gong in 2009 with The Chemistry Of Common Life.
