The “Four Voices Tour” featuring Joan Baez, Mary Chapin Carpenter and the Indigo Girls is set for the US in June.

The three acts first conceived of the tour when they all played Baez’s 75th birthday concert last year but their association goes back much farther. They first played together in 1991 at a benefit that Baez organized for her Humanitas charity.

Since that time, they have also played together at an Earth Day show in Boston and the Newport Folk Festival.

While the exact format for the show has yet to be announced, the press release did state that the singers “will share the stage in a special group performance as Four Voices.”

The dates:
06/03 – Nashville, Tennessee – Ryman Auditorium
06/05 – Raleigh, North Carolina – North Carolina Museum of Art
06/06 – Charlottesville, Virginia – Sprint Pavilion
06/08 – Kettering, Ohio – Fraze Pavilion
06/09 – Rochester Hills, Michigan – Meadow Brook Amphitheatre
06/11 – Chicago, Illinois – Chicago Theatre
06/12 – Grand Rapids, Michigan – Meijer Gardens
06/14 – Toronto, Ontario, Canada – Massey Hall
06/16 – Gilford, New Hampshire – Bank of New Hampshire Pavilion
06/17 – Lenox, Massachusetts – Tanglewood
