The New Jersey deathcore band return for their largest Australian run yet, adding first-ever New Zealand dates as Perth and Auckland shows sell out ahead of the opening night in Melbourne.

Lorna Shore begin their biggest Australian headline arena tour this Friday at John Cain Arena in Melbourne, bringing Whitechapel for the Australian dates and The Acacia Strain for the full Australia and New Zealand run, with Perth and one Auckland show already sold out.

The New Jersey band’s 2026 itinerary marks a clear step up from their sold-out maiden headline tour in February 2025 and their Good Things Festival appearances later that year. Destroy All Lines is promoting the dates, which also mark Lorna Shore’s first performances in New Zealand.

Lorna Shore formed in 2009 and built their reputation through a combination of extreme technical aggression and melodic intensity. Their 2020 album Immortal and the 2021 EP …And I Return To Nothingness widened their audience significantly, driven in part by the distinctive vocal range of Will Ramos. The band’s fifth studio album, I Feel The Everblack Festering Within Me, arrived in 2025 and further expanded their reach through streaming and international touring.

On stage the group have shared bills with Mastodon, Gojira and Parkway Drive, and appeared at festivals including Knotfest, Wacken Open Air, Download and Hellfest.

Their Australian live history is more recent but already dense: a fully sold-out headline run in February 2025 was followed by festival and sideshow dates in December of the same year.

Whitechapel join the Australian leg only. The Knoxville, Tennessee band formed in 2006 and are widely regarded as early architects of the deathcore sound. Their catalogue now spans nine studio albums, from the 2007 debut The Somatic Defilement through to 2025’s Hymns in Dissonance. Whitechapel last played Australian stages in 2023 while supporting Thy Art Is Murder.

The Acacia Strain complete the package for every date. The Massachusetts outfit have released thirteen studio albums, the most recent being 2025’s You Are Safe From God Here. Known for blending deathcore, sludge and hardcore elements, they last appeared in Australia in early 2024 supporting Dying Wish.

The tour arrives less than a year after Lorna Shore’s previous Australian visits and less than twelve months after the release of their latest album. The jump to arenas in Melbourne and the addition of New Zealand dates reflect the growth in demand for the band in the region.
