Mick Jagger’s fashion designer girlfriend L’Wren Scott has been found dead in New York. She was 49-years old.

Police have ruled the death a suspected suicide but say there was no suicide note left. Scott was found hanged at around 10am Monday by her assistant at her apartment on 11th Avenue in Chelsea, Manhattan.

L’Wren Scott was a high-end designer to the stars. Penelope Cruz, Nicole Kidman and Madonna. L’Wren Scott was one an answer to the question “Who are you wearing” at Red Carpet events such as the Academy Awards.

Scott first started dating Jagger in 2001.

The Rolling Stones arrived in Australia yesterday (March 17) for the start of the Australian leg of the ’14 On Fire’ tour tomorrow night in Perth. At this stage, there has been no official word if Australian Stones dates will be affected.

Mick Jagger, who is reported to be devastated by the news, is yet to issue a statement.

11:45am Perth concert cancelled

11:25am 6PR Perth now reporting that Mick Jagger is likely to fly out to New York today. The Stones are also reported to have left the Perth Hyatt.

10:50am 96FM is reporting Mick Jagger is flying out of Perth this morning signalling that the Stones dates will be postponed or cancelled.

10:30am UPDATE: The Rolling Stones will issue a statement today at midday (East Coast time).
