Mick Jagger’s Heart Valve Replacement Surgery A Complete Success

Mick Jagger has been given the all-clear following heart valve replacement surgery in New York this week. Doctors have confirmed that the surgery was a success.

The Rolling Stones were forced to postpone their upcoming North American tour last weekend when Jagger was told he had to undergo the emergency surgery. “I’m so sorry to all our fans in America & Canada with tickets. I really hate letting you down like this,” Mick Jagger said in a statement. “I’m devastated for having to postpone the tour but I will be working very hard to be back on stage as soon as I can. Once again, huge apologies to everyone”.

While the surgery had no implications, Jagger’s recovery period will mean any revised dates may be a year away. Heart valve replacement surgery has a minimum of three months recovery time although Mick should be well enough to leave the hospital early to mid next week.

Jagger will have to abide by a new diet to assist recovery, undergo therapy for the trauma caused by a life-threatening operation and maintain a new exercise regime to build his strength back after the procedure.

The Rolling Stones were due to begin their No Filter 2019 tour in Miami on April 20.
