Noiseworks will return to active duty in 2016 with their first album since 1991 completed and songs now being roadtested.

Noiseworks played four songs from the yet-to-be titled upcoming fourth album at their set on the Red Hot Summer tour in Mornington on Saturday.

The band opened with ‘Stand Up’ and then later performed ‘Heart & Soul’, ‘Low’ and ‘Let It Go’, all from the next album. ‘Heart & Soul’ is being considered as a first single.

Noiseworks released three albums between 1987 and 1991. The debut ‘Noiseworks’, in 1987 produced by Mark Opitz reached no. 6, ‘Touch’, produced by Chris Kimsey in 1988, reached no 5 and the Randy Jackson produced ‘Love Verses Money’ in 1991 was a no 1 record.

Noiseworks also surprised fans with a special guest guitarist at the Saturday show. Liv Fraser, the 16-year old daughter of guitarist Stuart Fraser, joined the band for the final two songs ‘Hot Chilli Woman’ and a cover of Led Zeppelin’s ‘Rock and Roll’.
