Hailing from Denver, Colorado, the boys from OneRepublic could’ve been hit hard by the recent floods had they not been on tour at the time.

Speaking with drummer Eddie Fisher, Noise 11 asked if the band had been directly affected by the natural disaster, “we’re actually on tour at the moment… some friends and family have had to endure some of that flooding” Fisher said. “You know? Natural disasters…you can never prepare for them,” he conceded.

But, in some good news, Fisher added that the band’s friends and family are “…all safe, they’re all accounted for.”

Besides touring and the natural disaster, it has been a busy years for the boys from OneRepublic. Their latest album ‘Natives’ has been their most successful chart album to date, reaching the top 10 of Billboard’s top 200, while vocalist Ryan Tedder is constantly writing and producing for a number of the world’s top acts including Beyonce.

In addition to this, OneRepublic have recently announced a four stop Australian Tour. When asked about what he was looking forward to most about visiting Australia again, Fisher said he “would like to go surfing” and “wine-tasting and going to cool restaurants.” He concluded by saying that “just to play shows in foreign countries… is a real gift for us.”

So, if you’re around town during their tour, keep an eye out for Eddie and the guys from OneRepublic as they could be sitting at the table next to you or jumping in on your next wave.
