Queen’s Roger Taylor has announced that his new studio album, Fun on Earth, will be released in October along with the collection The Lot which will include all of his solo work along with material from The Cross.

Fun on Earth was recorded at Priory Studios in Surrey, England and includes Say It’s Not True which sees Taylor team up with Jeff Beck for the contemporary Queen favorite, the smooth refrains and heartfelt lyrics of Woman You’re So Beautiful and Be With You and the powerful, reckless spirit of opening track One Night Stand and I Am The Drummer (In A Rock n’ Roll Band).

Taylor recently told Classic Rock Magazine “My first solo effort (in 1981) was called Fun in Space. I’ve called this one Fun On Earth. I’ve come down to earth a bit, but there’s still a bit of fun in there – some smiley tracks. It’s been written over a five year period, so it’s very eclectic. Some gentle stuff, some rockier stuff, and some fairly political stuff.”

The Lot, meanwhile, will be released in limited collector’s editions and digitally.

Full details on both albums will be made available in the coming weeks.
