Robyn Hitchcock of the iconic The Soft Boys and Steve Kilbey’s of Australia’s legendary The Church have teamed up for an Australian tour in April.

Despite making their names on opposites sides of the planet Hitchcock and Kilbey both born in England a year and 25 miles apart. Kilbey moved to Australia at age three. His family settled in Canberra.

Hitchcock formed The Soft Boys in Cambridge, England in 1976 and after they broke up in 1980 he went on to for Robyn Hitchcock & The Egyptians.

Kilbey formed The Church is Sydney in 1980 and continues the band today.

Robyn Hitchcock and Steve Kilbey will tour Australia with special guest Dave Mason of The Reels on the Sydney and Melbourne shows for Tombowler in April and May.
