When the ticket prices were first announced for the Rolling Stones shows at the O2 Arena in London, people were grumbling up a storm.

Once they went on sale, though, all the bad publicity went away as the group sold out two shows at London’s O2 Arena in just seven minutes.

The cheapest tickets were $170 (£106), including fees, and ran all the way up to $650 (£406). Special VIP Platinum Experience tickets were setting people back $1,500 (£950).

Not only did they all go in seven minutes, but that also included a temporary crash of the Ticketmaster site which couldn’t handle the demand.

Now, it’s time to see how much scalpers will ask for the tickets. One source reports a $20,500 price already on-line.

Tickets for the New York (Newark) Rolling Stones dates go on sale tomorrow (Saturday) at 9 AM EDT. Prices run from $95 ($114.80 after Ticketmaster fees) to $750.00 ($813).
