Stevie Wonder Responds For ‘Taking A Knee’

The continuing dividing of the United States was played out for the world over the last week with many Americans taking sides over the recent trend of sports stars and, now, musicians “taking a knee” in protest of inequality.

One of those that received the wrath was Stevie Wonder who, twice last weekend, went down on his knee before shows and spoke out about the issues.

His actions were met with both support and derision in social media. Some of the worst comments:

TMZ caught up with the singer recently who calmly explained his stance:

People want to be respected as everyone should be respected. The constitution is about everyone being respected. People have died for the flag. Everyone. Every culture. Every ethnicity. So it’s not about not valuing the flag. It’s about stopping all this putting one group against the other group.
