The Beatles ‘The Beatles’ (aka The White Album) will be expanded for a new box set to mark its 50th anniversary in November.

In the last 24 hours, tweets have appeared at the official Beatles Twitter teasing the reissue and there have also been further details released by investigative fans.

The teases suggest a major production is on the way equivalent to the expanded ‘Sgt Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band’ box of 2017. The four CD/ two DVD edition of Sgt Pepper was produced by Giles Martin and included outtakes, a remastered original, the mono original and documentaries on the album.

If ‘The White Album’ is given the same treatment, expect a work of art.

According to vlogger beatleman69 on YouTube you can expect:

A 4LP set, two discs of the new stereo remix and two discs of the Esher demos, the original demos recorded at George’s home that has been widely bootlegged over the years.

Then there will also be a 3CD version, two with the newly remastered album and a third disc of the Esher demos.

Then the box edition will be a 6 disc edition featuring the three discs just mentioned and three discs of outtakes plus a Blu-Ray (with no video, only audio).

Outtakes will include ‘Hey Jude’, ‘Revolution’, ‘The Inner Light’, ‘Across The Universe’, ‘Lady Madonna’, as well as non-album jams. Some of the tracks have never before surfaced. There will also be a 12 minute version of ‘Helter Skelter’ but the infamous 27 minute version will not be included.

The release date is expected to by November number 9 number 9 number 9.
