The nutty band grabbed UK super-producer Mark Ronson for their sixth full-length album Arabia Mountain, finally breaking through after years of cult stardom.

The garage rockers visit Australia next March, playing the illustrious Golden Plains festival and the Adelaide Festival.

But the rest of the country can subject themselves to the crazed Black Lips live spectacular with five shows from coast to coast.

Tickets go on sale on Monday 7 November from the venues, Oztix for Gold Coast, Perth and Brisbane shows, Moshtix for Sydney, and from the Corner for Melbourne.

The Black Lips Australian Tour 2012
Thursday 1 March – Coolangatta Hotel, Gold Coast
Friday 2 March – The Zoo, Brisbane
Sunday 4 March – The Standard, Sydney
Wednesday 7 March – Corner Hotel, Melbourne
Thursday 8 March – Bakery, Perth
