Troye Sivan has announced his fourth studio album, She’s the Best, alongside the release of its title track and a Gordon von Steiner-directed video featuring Nicole Kidman.

Troye Sivan has opened the next chapter of his recording career with “She’s the Best”, the title track from his fourth studio album, due October 9, 2026. The Australian artist has also released a new video for the song, directed by Gordon von Steiner and featuring Nicole Kidman, extending a visual partnership that has become closely associated with Sivan’s recent work.
The new single marks Sivan’s first major release following the campaign surrounding his 2023 album Something to Give Each Other. That record established “Rush”, “Got Me Started” and “One of Your Girls” as central songs in his current catalogue and was followed by the 2024 Sweat Tour, his co-headlining North American run with Charli XCX.
“She’s the Best” also establishes the title and release date of the next album. Sivan describes the project as a record concerned with desire, identity, joy, loneliness and queer belonging, with the material drawing on experiences from the past several years.
The song was written by Sivan with Leland, George Daniel, Jack Antonoff and Styalz Fuego. Production is shared by Sivan, Daniel, Antonoff and Fuego. The arrangement begins with spoken passages before guitars, strings and synthesised textures build towards a more expansive section.
Sivan has described the album as a reflection of contrasting experiences, including periods of intense activity alongside solitude and longing. He has also identified femininity as a central influence on the project, specifically acknowledging women, trans women, drag queens and feminine-presenting people.
The accompanying film reunites Sivan with von Steiner, who directed the videos for “Rush”, “Got Me Started” and “One of Your Girls”. “Rush” and “Got Me Started” both received Grammy nominations, while von Steiner’s work has helped establish a consistent visual language across the Something to Give Each Other era.
For “She’s the Best”, the visual concept draws from 1980s queer New York, combining feminine imagery, fashion and performance. Kidman makes a featured appearance, bringing one of Australia’s most internationally recognised actors into Sivan’s visual world.
Sivan’s evolution into a global pop artist began in Perth, where he developed an audience through YouTube and early live performances before signing with EMI Australia in 2013. His breakthrough came with the 2014 EP TRXYE, whose “Happy Little Pill” reached No. 10 on the ARIA Singles Chart. His second EP, Wild, followed in 2015 before the release of his debut album, Blue Neighbourhood, later that year.
Blue Neighbourhood established Sivan internationally, with “Youth” becoming his first US Billboard Hot 100 Top 40 single. His second album, Bloom, followed in 2018, while the 2020 EP In a Dream expanded his electronic and pop-oriented palette.
The third studio album, Something to Give Each Other, was released in October 2023 and topped the ARIA Albums Chart. Its lead single, “Rush”, earned two Grammy nominations, while Sivan received another nomination for “Got Me Started”.
The album campaign also extended Sivan’s work across fashion and visual culture. His career has included acting roles, fashion partnerships and the launch of his lifestyle brand Tsu Lange Yor, while music videos have remained an important component of his artistic presentation.
With She’s the Best, Sivan is moving into his fourth full-length studio album, following Blue Neighbourhood, Bloom and Something to Give Each Other. The new record is scheduled for October 9, with the title track providing the first indication of its musical and visual direction.
For an artist whose career has increasingly connected music, fashion, film and queer representation, the release continues that multidisciplinary approach. The album will determine how the themes introduced by “She’s the Best” develop across a full-length project.
