Walk Off The Earth’s version of the Gotye and Kimbra hit ‘Somebody That I Used To Know’ will pass the 30 million YouTube views shortly after publication of this story.

In what has been a remarkable global uptake on views, the Canadian band have managed to generate 29,985,013 views in just 10 days.

The original video by Gotye and Kimbra has added a further 5 million views pushing it to 45,517,706 today.

New Zealand born, Melbourne based Kimbra is currently in the USA and will showcase at SXSW in March.

The Gotye and Kimbra song has been number one in Germany now for three weeks.

This week Walk Off The Earth were invited to perform their version of the song on The Ellen Degeneres Show on January 23. Their version has also caught the eye of Russell Crowe who then pitched his songs to the band.
