Gary Glitter Arrested In Jimmy Savile Investigation

70s pop star Gary Glitter (aka Paul Gadd) has been arrested for child sex offences after police uncovered new information in their investigation about the late Jimmy Savile.

68-year old Glitter (Gadd) was taken into police custody over a UK police investigation into their Operation Yewtree.

London Police report that, “The man, from London, was arrested at approximately 0715 on suspicion of sexual offences. The individual falls under the strand of the investigation we have termed ‘Savile and others’.

Savile was described as the “predatory sex offender”.

Gary Glitter was jailed in Vietnam in 2006 for child sex offences. One of the world’s biggest stars in his day, Gary Glitter old over 18 million records with hits like ‘Rock and Roll”, ‘I Didn’t Know I Loved You Till I Saw You Rock and Roll’ and ‘I Love You Love Me Love’.

Jimmy Savile OBE died on 29 October, 2011.
