James Southwell has released ‘Walkin’ Now’, a stunning new blues song 2016, and just check out the band.
‘Walkin’ Now’ features Vika Bull, Chris Wilson, Mark Kennedy, Tim Partridge, John Watson, Tracy Kingman, Lachy Doley and Jimmie Sloggett, the best of the best from the Australian music biz.
Southwell is somewhat of a music veteran having played guitar since age 7. He served his apprenticeship as a teenager on stages with Chain, The Kevin Borich Express, Phil Manning, Stevie Wright and a host of other well-known Australian artists.
James released his first album ‘Dark Angel’ in 2006 and has since played over 2000 shows including numerous blues festivals like Blues on Broadbeach, Thredbo Blues Festival, Blues at Bridgetown, The Australian Blues Music Festival, Bay of Islands Jazz & Blues Festival in New Zealand, Sydney Blues & Roots Festival and the Great Southern Blues Festival Narooma.
In 2014 The James Southwell Band was a finalist in the MBAS Memphis Blues Challenge.

‘Walkin’ Now’ will be released for digital download by MGM on Friday 15th January for Thredbo Blues Festival Weekend. A collectors 1000 “Numbered” limited edition CD’s will be available for order or pick one up at Thredbo for $10.00.
