The only person to be inducted twice into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame, Randy Bachman of the Guess Who and Bachman-Turner Overdrive, wants to give fans a chance to win some big prizes by playing guitar with him.
The Rock Out With Randy Bachman Contest, sponsored by Vintage Guitar Magazine, includes a prize package that includes a D’Angelico EX-SS Guitar, a Supro 1690T Coronado Amp (total value $4,234) and a chance to rock out with Randy Bachman in New York City this June.
Entrants need to go to iTunes or the Linus Entertainment Label Store to download a copy of Randy’s song Heavy Blues with Peter Frampton’s guitar track removed. Once they think they can perform their very best guitar playing in place of Frampton, they need to get out their video camera and record their performance
The finished videos should be uploaded to YouTube and tagged with “Rock Out With Randy Bachman” and “Vintage Guitar Magazine”. That’s it! Now, the budding guitarists can get friends and family to “like” the video and share it on various social sites.
Deadline for entries is May 27 with Randy picking the winner by June 3.
Not only will entrants have a chance to win the equipment and playing with Bachman, the video will also be guaranteed 100,000 views and will include a pre-roll endorsement from Randy and a $1,500 travel voucher to go to New York.
