Woodstock Founder Michael Lang Welcomes Brian Cadd to 50th Anniversary Event

in News

Woodstock co-founder and co-producer Michael Lang has issued a personal statement welcoming Australian legend Brian Cadd to the 2019 Woodstock 50 Music and Arts Fair.

“Brian Cadd’s vocal resonance and stage performance reminds me of my friends in The Band. His new album Silver City rocks and I look forward to welcoming him at Woodstock 50,” Michael said in a statement.

Brian Cadd is one of only two Australians on the Woodstock 50 bill. The other is Courtney Barnett.

This year Brian released his album ‘Silver City’ rounding off a bookend of musical activity dating back to his 1970 hit ‘A Little Ray of Sunshine’. ‘Silver City’ was recorded mostly in Nashville with ex-pat Aussie producer Mark Moffatt. He has also been on tour around Australia performing songs from the album live.

Australian fans will have a chance to see Brian again before Woodstock 50 on the Apia Good Times tour.
