Canadian duo Madison Violet drop in to discuss heartbreak, playing strange venues, writing with Ron Sexsmith, and more.

Brenley and Lisa, better known together as the delicately sweet and sorrowful country folk duo Madison Violet, have just released their fifth album The Good In Goodbye.

Here they discuss recording in odd locales, writing about heartache, collaborating with Ron Sexsmith, and the deep emotional impact of Bren’s centenarian grandmother, who is the subject of new song ‘Christy Ellen Francis’ and who passed away mere days before the interview.
