2013 Australian Jazz Bell Awards Winners Announced In Melbourne

The 2013 Australian Jazz Bell Awards were handed out in Melbourne tonight with David Ades picking up two awards and Marc Hannaford winning Most Original Jazz album Award.

The 11th Annual Australian Jazz Bell Awards were hosted by Albert ‘Albare’ Dadon and Tracey Curro with special guest of honour, Dorothy Bell, wife of the late Graeme Bell,who the awards are named after.

The Honourable Michael Danby MP, Federal Parliamentary Secretary for The Arts gave the night’s Key Note speech.

The Brand Partners Best Australian Traditional Jazz Album:
Flap! with ‘A Great Day for the Race’

The APRA/AMCOS Best Australian Jazz Song of the Year:
David Ades & Friends with ‘Joe The Kid’

The Monash University Best Australian Jazz Ensemble:
