Austin-based guitarist Alejandro Escovedo will tour Australia for the first time ever in 2019.
Bruce Springsteen is a huge Escovedo fan. At SXSW 2012 Bruce almost stalked Alejandro for a chance to play with him (and it happened a few times at SXSW that year).
Alejandro Escovedo released his most recent album The Crossing this year. His debut album ‘Gravity’ was released in 1992 when he was 41 years old.
Alejandro has a music pedigree. His brothers are Coke and Pete Escovedo. Pete’s daughter is Sheila Escovedo aka Sheila E.
Alejandro collaborated with Ryan Adams for the Whiskeytown album Strangers Almanac.
In 2005, Alejandro discovered that George W. Bush placed his song Castanets on his iPod. Alejandro refused to perform the song until he was out of office.
Alejandro Escovedo will tour Australia for David Roy Williams.
